I hate hacker characters and plots.Guess which one is good at computers? There’s no suspense.

Hacking a computer is probably a really complicated process. Maybe just to outsiders. But still, it probably takes a lot of time and clear thinking, two things that are unavailable to the hacker when the big monster is trying to break down the door.

In reality, most computer specialists are nerdy white men. In movies, the computer specialists are anything but nerdy white men. In fact, the better they are at their job, the further from this stereotype they are.

If the person that sits down to that computer is a hot chick, then she’s gonna crack the code. If she’s a minority, she’s going to do it even quicker. If she’s a 10-year-old girl, the computer doesn’t stand a chance.
